Tummy Tuck ( Abdominoplasty )

An abdominoplasty, or "tummy tuck," can remove excess folds of skin and tighten your abdominal muscles to create a lean, flat and more well-defined abdomen. Because it targets the specific lower stomach area, an abdominoplasty can be the perfect solution to tone and perfect that soft, prominent belly.

In an abdominoplasty, an incision is made at the bikini line, excess skin and fat are removed, and the abdominal muscles are tightened to flatten out the bulge. After the procedure, a compression garment or girdle is worn for 3 - 4 weeks as normal activities are gradually resumed. Heavy lifting and other activities that may strain the abdominal muscles are restricted for 6 weeks. Dr. Rosenberg has used his personal technique of abdominoplasty to give many patients flat, sculpted, and more athletic appearing abdomens. A tummy tuck is also not recommended for severely overweight individuals.
